Reem grew up in an entrepreneurial family, seeing firsthand both the challenges of running a business and the impact that thoughtful, supportive HR can have on a team and a business. With 13 years of experience in HR across organizations including McDonald’s Canada, Aritzia and high-growth companies, she brings a people-first mindset paired with a strong business lens.

Reem believes HR should be practical, purposeful and built around the realities of the business. Her approach is about understanding what leaders actually need and creating real-world people solutions that work for both the business and its people.

Philosophy

Because behind every business are humans.

I’ve spent the last 13 years in HR, working with some incredible organizations and even more incredible people—from large corporations to high-growth and entrepreneurial businesses. I’ve worked on people strategies, built teams, supported leaders through change, hired hundreds of people, shaped cultures, redesigned HR initiatives and dealt with the less glamorous side of HR, too.

And somewhere along the way, I realized something: The best HR isn’t about having more policies, processes or corporate jargon. It’s about understanding people—and understanding the business they’re helping to build.

That’s why Still Human was created.

I work alongside Founders and Leaders to figure out what their people actually need—whether that’s hiring the right person, putting structure around a growing team, creating a stronger employee experience, navigating a difficult situation or simply getting the HR basics in place.

We’re not here to tell you how HR should look. I’m here to understand your business, meet you where you are and build something that works for you. And while the world of work continues to change—with AI, new technology and evolving expectations—I believe the most important part of any business hasn’t changed:

People still want to feel valued, supported, challenged and connected to something that matters.

That’s the part I don’t think we should lose.
